Cultural spotlight: Working with Spanish colleagues and partners
Working with people from different cultures requires awareness and understanding of business approach, communication, and leadership styles. Spanish culture is known for their people-oriented focus, flexible approach to time and their eclectic mix of identities. Understanding the values and attitudes of Spanish business culture will facilitate the collaboration with Spanish colleagues and partners. This workshop aims to increase participants’ intercultural competence when working with Spaniards by exploring the peculiarities of Spanish culture, its manifestations in the workplace, and how to successfully manage cultural differences.
✓ What is Intercultural Competence?
✓ Cultural portrait; local customs and values (history, society, religion, politics, education etc) and their impact on the Spanish culture.
✓ Spanish attitudes, behaviour and communication at work.
✓ Cultural parameters: Direct/Indirect communication, Consensus/Hierarchy, Task/People oriented, Work-Life Balance/Career etc.
✓ Advice on how to anticipate and bridge cultural gaps between my culture and Spanish culture.
Who is the workshop for?
Anyone who works with Spanish people or in Spain.
How it works:
This is a trainer led virtual workshop. The event will be held in English but can also be tailored individually to your language needs. All participants receive a course certificate.
